Saturday 27-03
Finally the day was
here, we were all there at 5.45 to leave to the airport. You could
feel the nerves of everyone.
When we arrived at Eindhoven we
said goodbye to the friends who went to Italy.
It was a nice
flyght. The only exciting thing was that a man got a epeleptic
atac on the plane! I was really shocked but there where 3 doctors
so the man was in good hands.
When we arrived in
Budapest the sun was welkoming us. We drove with the bus to
Székesfehérvár and you could almost smell the tension. Everyone
was excited to meet the exchange partner.
We all got out of
the bus and said goodbye, unfortunately we did not know if we
would see each other before Monday.
Eszter and her
mother picked me up and we drove to her house. It is a nice house.
I sleep with her on her room.
Her mother made gulash supe and
nice little sort of bread things, but the dessert was even better!
It was like heaven, it called Angelinas dream and really it was a
dream! Unfortunatley the parents don't speak English at all, not
even a word, but the mother is really nice and the father doesnt
say really a thing...
After dinner we talked a little and at
15.00 o'clock Thijs and his exchange partner Annemarie came.
Together we went to a little castle called Bory in
Székesfehérvár. It was very cute and I was so surprised that they
know pretty much about their country.
That night
we went to 2 pubs with (almost) the whole group and it was really
nice to see each other and hear how their day
was.
Sunday 28-03
Today it was family day. We went
to Budapest, there we met with Thijs and his exchange partner and
Rik and his partner Balasz. Together with the parents of Eszter
and the father of Annemari we went to the castle, kings square and
a lot of other things. It was a Budapest speed date!
I really
had a great time, the father of Annemari kenwe a lot and Balazs
to. The weather was not so nice today, it was like 5 degrees
and no sun. It rained a bit but not too much. Unfortunatley
Annemari was very tired ans Eszter also a bit so they went home
and I stayed with the father of Annemari, Thijs, Rik and Balazs.
We went bowling and it was really fun! I had a great time and I
really can bowl now (a little..). My conclusion about this two
days is that the people are very nice and hospitable. And I think
they have to change the name of the project in fat for Europe
(like Marleen said) because we eat a lot and the food is DE LIC I
OUS!

Monday 29-03
Today we went to school at 7:45. We have meet the other Dutch students with their exchange partner and we saw the Greek students for the first time. After the welcome words, we went to the centre of the city, split up in 5 groups, and walked around with questions about the city.
We finished the questions at 10 am, after that we had a break till 1 pm. When the break was finished, we went to the other location of the school. On that location they teach children from 6 years up to 12 years. We watched a movie, it was quite a boring movie. After we watched the movie, we made a collage in groups of 5 about the movie.
When the movie and the collage were finished, it was 15:30. We went to the shop centre to eat. After that I went to Daniels home. We have eat and rest.
Tonight we will meet the other students again, we will go bowling at 7 pm.

Monday 29 april, Hungary
Today we get up very early, it was around half past six!
We have to go to the school and there we met the others, and also the people from Greece.
Then the director of the school, wished us a nice and welkom time in the town (it is a very long and difficult name and I can't remember it).
We are all in a group today and we have to walk through the city, along a lot of buildings and statues.
It wasn't very nice because the route and map were in Hungarian.....
But my group won, we were the first group that finished!
Then we had lunch break, from half past ten till one o' clock.
We meet each other at school, and we watch a movie with the Greece, Hungarian and Dutch people.
Nobody liked the movie. It was about religion and nature all over the world, but there was no story just a lot of short movies and music.
Everybody became tired and some people sleep during the movie.....
After the movie we talked about the film in small groups and make a poster off your impression of the film.
Then we go to the shopping hall with all the Hungarian and Dutch students, and the boys who where hungry eat there.
Now I'm at home, and in the evening we will met the others when we go bowling or something else.
I really like the food, and I think the Hungarian students think the project is "fat for Europe " because the ask the whole time if we are hungry!?
I really like my partner Orsi, and I have a great time!!!
From Hungarya with love! Marleen

Tuesday 30 april, Hungary
Today
was a very exhausting day! We started the day at
9 o'clock at the busstation and go by bus to Budapest. We had
to drive one hour and after that we visited a museum what was
about medicines. I think the museum was interesting if you're
interested in medicines, but if you're not, it was just boring!
After the 3 groupes had visited the museum we went by bus to
Margarat Island. It's an island in the middel of the Donau, the
river who is splitting Budapest in 2 pieces, Buda and Pest. We ate
a ice cream there and after that we went back to the
bus.
At
the bus we were going to a pool who
is called Aquaworld. The pool was very nice and very
big! The had an elevator for the slides and they were so
high! I think the're like 8 slides or something but you can see on
this link. http://www.aqua-world.hu/ We ate
pizza at the pool and swum after that and we also laughed a
lot with one hungarian guy. At half past five we needed to be back
at the bus to go back to the town of the school, which name a
can't spell. When we were there the mother of Gerda take us home
and after that I was riding this text. That was the Tuesday of our
exchange!
Lovely
greetz from Anne!

Eline Bok - HUNGARY - 30-03-'11
I can finally sit and relax for a moment. All those days in Hungary are very exhaustive!
Getting up early, spending the day with a busy program, going to the lake or the pub in the evening, and going to bed not very early..
Today I woke up at Orsi's house -the partner of Marleen- at half past 7. That was because Janka - my excange partner - felt sick yesterday.
And ofcourse we had to eat a very big breakfast, like every day.. I think I can say that everybody is eating soooo much in Hungary. I guess that i hear: "Aren't you hungry?!" or "Aren't you thirsty?!" like 20 times a day. Sometimes I think it's very irritating but the Hungarians are very hospitable and kind people! Definitely!!
We don't had to go to school this day, but instead of that we were going to a hostel in the surrounding area. There was a big hall were all the Hungarians, Italians, Greeks and Dutchmans comes together.
This day was all about getting to know each other and compare our countries. I was classified in a group with Janka, three other Hungarians, a Greek and two Italians.
We also saw a presentation about the dangers of smoking, alcohol and drugs. I can say it wasn't very interesting because the woman who did the presentation was far away of being skinny, looked very unhealthy and she can't speak English.. For some people it was the moment to get some more rest and close their eyes..
I definitely enjoy my time here in Hungary! The weather is very good, the people are very kind, I love the old Hungarian buildings and while I'm having a unforgettable time I'm learning so much!
Czaaaa!
Eline

Thursday, hungary, 31-03-11.
This morning it was a little bit difficult to wake up because yesterday evening we were going to a club with al the people who participate the exchange program. It was a really good night.
I had to wake up at half past 7 and at half pas 8 we were leaving by bus to a bio farm. (Thijs will tell something about it). After that we were going to an adventure parc, this was a big parc and it was really funny. We had to climb in trees with a specials kind of pants on, this was for tour safety. It looked really stupid especially because we had to wear a helmet to.. But despite the clothes we had to wear it was really nice. I was climbing with Anne, Lienke and Marleen. In the beginning we got some instruction how we had to use our outfit. It was really boring and long and the instructor could only speak Hungarian, fortunately for us there was a Hungarian teacher who translated it to us but is was really noisy. Everbody was talking and laughing, so we couldn't hear it very good. Lienke, Anne and I were laughing all the time while Marleen was trying to listen to the instructions, she told us in Dutch and after that very long instruction we could start.
First we had a trial to practice how to use our outfit, it was really easy so we were laughing all the time. Then the real work starts, first we want to do the thing for experts but when we saw it, we thought it was to difficult and we chose an other one. This was difficult to but it was a nice one, for example we had to sail above a lake.
When we finished it, we were going to a kind of toboggan run, this was really funny and we were screaming and laughing while we did this.
There was also a small footbalfield and we saw that there were playing some Italian students we went to the field to play football against them, they were really good! So we couldn't beat them.
It was a very tiring day, especially after yesterday evening so everybody is going to sleep very early today. I really need it because I'm totally broken.
I'm really enjoying my time in Hungary and i think everybody who isn't on exchange misses a lot! We have a very nice group and we're laughing a lot together. The Hungarian people are also very kind and hospitable, they're really doing their best to make you happy.
With love, Wietske.

Man it's really a pity that tomorrow is our last day in Hungary.... If I could stay another week I would.
Today I got up at 7:30 and we went to the bus station. We were taken to a bio-farm in Németbánya.
When we finally got there we ate something and we drank fresh milk. It was pretty fun but meanly because the weather was beautiful. After that we went to an adventure park where they had these huge slides. I thought it was boring after like two times but some of us just stayed there for almost two hours. Meanwhile I was laying in the sun near the water. There also where some climbing parcours between the trees and that was fun. We left the park at 18:00 (I think) and we went home. The best part of the day was the beautiful weather.
Cheers!
Thijs.
